About the Ambassadors of Harmony
The Ambassadors of Harmony (AoH) is more than a chorus; it is a promise of transformative harmony. As the St. Louis area's premier men’s a cappella ensemble, we unite over 100 voices to create a performance that is both technically masterful and profoundly moving. Our repertoire spans the emotional spectrum, from Broadway classics and jazz to pop and beloved holiday favorites, all delivered with relentless craftsmanship.
Our story began in 1963 when the group was founded as the Daniel Boone Chorus. In the early 1990s, we evolved into the Ambassadors of Harmony to better reflect our mission: spreading the joy of harmony. Grounded in this legacy of excellence, AoH solidified its standing as a world-class organization, earning its fifth gold medal at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2023 international contest. While our stage presence has captivated audiences from the United States to Europe—including England, Germany, and Sweden—our heart remains in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Our commitment to the future is just as strong as our history. Through Acappellooza Summer and Fall, we champion youth education by mentoring the next generation in the artistry of barbershop. These programs create a space where young talent can soar, balancing the excitement of performance with the discipline needed for lifelong success.
Today, our mission comes alive in our holiday concerts at the Touhill Performing Arts Center and in our commitment to inclusive community building. We strive not only to set the standard for the barbershop style but to ensure every voice—and every life—is changed by the experience. Our mission is to achieve musical excellence by continually refining the artistry and power of a cappella singing. Through this craft, we build an inclusive community, inspire the next generation through youth education and deliver performances that uplift, connect and transform the lives of both our members and our audience.

Diversity is the root of our harmony. The Ambassadors of Harmony is a men’s a cappella chorus dedicated to artistic excellence and community building. We wholeheartedly welcome and encourage participation from anyone comfortable singing in a men’s chorus including men, non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability or national origin. We are committed to fostering a culture of mutual respect and belonging while ensuring that every voice is valued and celebrated. To be a member of the performing chorus, candidates must meet vocal and visual performance standards and commit to our shared principles of excellence and inclusion.
